Recipes | Savoury French toast with Prosciutto di Parma and scrambled eggs

Serves 4

Savoury French toast:

  • 4 slices of bread for toast
  • 2 eggs
  • 40g milk
  • 30g grated cheese
  • salt, pepper

Scrambled eggs

  • 4 eggs
  • chopped parsley
  • butter 
  • Prosciutto di Parma as needed

Directions

French toast: beat the eggs with milk, grated cheese, salt and pepper.
Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture.

Heat up the butter in a frying pan, add the bread slices and fry them on both sides.  Put the French toast in the serving dishes.

Scrambled eggs: crack the eggs into a bowl, flavour them with parsley, salt and pepper, then heat up a frying pan with a knob of butter and pour the eggs.  Cook them stirring with a fork. When cooked, pour them onto the French toast.

Finish the dish with slices of Prosciutto di Parma Ham and sprinkle with parsley.
