We do not know exactly when the fame of Parma Ham spread throughout Italy and the world: it was certainly already famous in Paris in the early 19th century, and much coveted by Parisian gourmets, especially the ham imported by Loderingo Bonanni of Langhirano. Excellence has never had boundaries.
