News & Press | The Parma Ham Festival is back from 6 to 8 September
The Parma Ham Festival, now in its 27th edition, is back from 6 to 8 September in Langhirano, with a program full of initiatives, to celebrate Parma Ham and discover this world-famous food excellence and its rich and generous territory.
Numerous events will enliven the Festival: meetings, show cookings, shows and, of course, tastings.
The highlight of the event will be, as always, Finestre Aperte (Open Windows), an unmissable event of the Parma Ham Festival that will take place on the weekends of September: for 25 years this initiative has allowed visitors to witness the production cycle and taste Parma Ham directly inside the ham factories. The guides will exceptionally be the producers themselves, who will tell and show how pork legs, thanks to a very particular combination of climate, tradition and passion, become Prosciutto di Parma PDO. Finestre Aperte is a unique opportunity for the general public to learn about the ancient traditions and know-how, passed down from generation to generation, that lie behind Prosciutto di Parma.
The complete program of the Parma Ham Festival and all the useful information for booking and organizing visits to the participating ham factories can be found on the website www.festivaldelprosciuttodiparma.com.
