ASDA Tasting

ASDA is a subsidiary of the world's biggest retailer Wal-Mart Store Inc, and currently operates 356 stores in the UK. It is the second largest supermarket chain in the UK, and according to TNS rankings published in September 2009, ASDA’s market share was 17.4% compared to Tesco's 30.9%, Sainsbury’s 15.8% and Morrison's 11.3%.

On 11th December 2009 Parma Ham tastings took place in 110 selected ASDA stores throughout the UK. 

Each store and demonstrator was carefully briefed to provide key information to consumers about Parma Ham, its quality, its history and tradition.  There was a dedicated stand for the product where it was prepared for consumers in sample size.  Leaflets and napkins were also supplied by the Consorzio and handed out to ASDA customers.
