Parma flies to Asia

The Consortium is preparing to fly to Asia to attend two important food and beverage exhibitions:  Foodex in Tokyo from 11th to 14th March 2008 and Food Asia in Singapore from 22nd to 25th April 2008. The Consortium will take part with the Parmigiano-Reggiano Consortium with which it has initiated a new promotion campaign with Porto to include a combination of informative and promotional events over 3 years and created from a desire to promote the value of geographical indicators outside of Europe.
Foodex is a well-established appointment for the Parma Ham Consortium as Japan represents one of their main non-European markets, while Food Asia is a new event for the King of Hams. Food Asia is the most important exhibition in the whole of South-east Asia and is also a significant reference point for Australian operators.
