Parma Ham to be promoted in Brussels

On 19th April, the Consortium will meet the press for an active dinner in honour of Parma Ham. Twenty Belgium journalists will be introduced to the sweetness of the most famous ham in Italy by thirty-two year old Alberto Rosetti from Parma, a Michelin star chef with a passion for the traditional products that have made the Food Valley so well known. Rossetti will present a menu that introduces all that is 'Parma' with a few creative touches thrown in; as part of the appetizers there is the Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano-Reggiano ice-cream and to finish a "farewell dessert": apricot plum cake, mascarpone cream and caramelised Prosciutto di Parma. All washed down with excellent local wines and with Giuseppe Verdi as the sound track. The journalists will be actively involved in the workshop. They can watch the chef as he cooks, change tables between courses and help to set the tables. The dinner, to be held at the renowned Mmmmh! in Brussels, is part of a worldwide promotional campaign that the Consortium is currently carrying out with the help of their public relations agency. The chef, Alberto Rossetti Thirty-two years old from Parma, with a passion for cooking. He has been a chef for 15 years, starting out in large hotels in South Tyrol before moving on to various restaurants in Parma.
