London: Prosciutto di Parma at Harrods

From the 6th to the 18th of September  Prosciutto di Parma will be playing an important role in London.

Harrods exclusive department stores will be promoting and showcasing  Italian food delicacies among which the king of hams couldn't  have been left out.

Prosciutto di Parma will be in the spotlight in the famous South Kensington department store : infact, a dedicated corner, (managed directly by Prosciutto di Parma producing companies) offering  free tasting samples in addition to informative materials.

Five other regions in addition to Emilia-Romagna will be taking part in this  " Made in Italy" promotional event:  Piedmont, Lombardy, Tuscany, Umbria and Campania.

Emilia-Romagna and Campania will be the  first to start (from the 6th to 18th September 2004). Then come Tuscany and Lombardy, and the last will be Piedmont and Umbria.

One of the most important events in programme is – on the 9th of September – a launch party on the 4th floor of the elegant Georgian Restaurant in an all-Italian environment where the streets of the “Bel Paese” will be recreated with many Fiat cars and Vespa scooters parked along the sides and Opera singers entertaining  the guests. On this occasion the Georgian Restaurant will be divided into two areas. The front area will be transformed into an Italian square full of lemon and olive trees, the back area will be changed into an exclusive Milan discotheque  with a D.J., lights, dance floor, and funky decor.  Thus  the atmosphere of a typical Italian party will be created. On this occasion people will have a chance to taste  the best Italian delicacies such as Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano, Culatello di Zibello, wines from Emilia-Romagna region wineries, and other typical Italian products.
