On November 28 2002 at 3.30 p.m. in the Jolly Carlton Hotel, Amsterdam Center, an important meeting shall be held for press members and trade operators.
The event is part of the current communication and monitoring programm currently developed in Holland, a market within which Prosciutto di Parma faces numerous problems related to confusion between the authentic product and imitations as well as evident cases of usurpationof the Parma name.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide to the participants clear and concrete information on the distinctive characteristics of Prosciutto di Parma and to teach how it can be recognized on the market , so that a more solid awareness can spread, helping to differentiate Prosciutto di Parma from inferior imitations and at the same time interfere with the free use of non authorised designations of origin.
